When I tell you about a first date that one of my girlfriends went on, you’re not going to believe it.

She had met – I’ll call him “The Stand Up Guy” – at a speed dating event, and they made plans to go on a “real” date together.

I came home and noticed there was a box outside the front door.  I was pretty sure that it couldn’t have been anything for me, so I left it for my husband.

One of the best ways to find out what men like and dislike about women is to hear that from men themselves. That’s why I often frequent the site askmen.com. It has a section called “Dating & Sex” that contains articles and advice about dealing with women, for men and by men. And getting the inside scoop on “man-talk” is extremely useful for a girl. I think of this as keeping current on what’s in on Man Street.
